Land Rover is by far, the most successful automotive company in the UK and one of the best in the world. Next year, a new breed of Range Rover will be making its debut and today, the world can already catch a glimpse on the greatness that is to come with the upcoming model.
Land Rover called it the Range Rover SVR and the large SUV was spotted at Nurnbergring yesterday. The vehicle looks as if it has the same wheelbase measurements as the previous Range Rover. However, the SVR has something new to offer like the four tail pipes which pop out of the rear bumper.
While there has yet to be any details to come from the Land Rover on the SVR, the fact that it runs on a quad exhaust system suggests that the vehicle will be powered by a V8 mill that is identical to the F-Type R, XFR-S and XJR.
In detail, the large capacity V8 engine will generate about 550hp. Since the Range Rover SVR is going to be new, there is a chance for the engine to be tuned further to produce approximately 575hp. Other expected improvements include new brakes and better aerodynamics.
The competition for a high-performance, large luxury SUV is a pretty small one. Perhaps, the Range Rover SVR will be challenging the upcoming Bentley SUV that has a top speed of 200mph.
