It is no secret that Mercedes is currently producing the C-Class Cabriolet and just recently, spy shots of the vehicle running some tests have surfaced online.
When viewing the images, we noticed that the C-Class Cabriolet looks a lot like the S-Class Coupe. The spy shots revealed that both the C-Class Cabriolet and S-Class Coupe share the same set of lights and curved boot-lids.
Under the hood, we can expect the C-Class Cabriolet to draw its power from a selection of four-, six- and eight-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines. Heck, we won’t be surprised if Mercedes offers the vehicle with a twin-turbo V8.
What disappoints us is that the C-Class Cabriolet does not come with something new to offer. Instead, Mercedes simply takes parts and pieces from other vehicles to create the C-Class Cabriolet. Of course it might not look identical to the S-Coupe but it needs to look distinguishable from the latter.
On the other hand, the choice of a curved roofline might look awkward from certain angles. The features are obviously taken from the CLS but it does open up the possibility for a C-Class Coupe in the future.
