June 2015 will see history being made as it will be the month that will see Mazda launching the next-generation MX5 Miata in Japan before it reaches out to the whole world. This is really exciting for the Miata fans as they have waited so long to see a new model getting produced.
The Mazda MX5 Miata is without a doubt the world’s most popular two-seater lightweight sports car. This is owed to the fact that the Miata are often very affordable to own and they are also a no-nonsense vehicle. It also explains why the Miata has sold about 950,000 units since the debut of the first model.
While Mazda didn’t go into details in this latest reveal, car junkies can look forward to seeing the Miata incorporating a SkyActiv engine and also KODO-Soul of Motion design language. With the former, the Miata is probably going to be the world’s most fuel savvy sports car too.
Then again, having SkyActiv on-board can also be worrying as it might lead to a spike in the Miata’s super-low valuation. Of course, this will require more confirmation from Mazda.
