Over in Malaysia, Mazda introduced a new kind of CX-5 and it is known as the CX-5 GL. Assembled in the South-East Asian nation, the SUV is basically the same CX-5 but with fewer features to offer.
For starters, the CX-5 GL does not come with leather seats. Also, the navigation has been dropped with the aim to make the CX-5 more affordable than ever.
With the absence of the aforementioned features, Mazda is able to sell the CX-5 GL for just MYR125,766 instead of the standard MYR133,219 pricing.
This move will surely appeal to Malaysians, particularly to the drivers that prefer to look past the extra offerings and jump straight to enjoy the 2L engine that is nestled under the hood.
