2015 Lotus Evora 400: An Icon In The Works

Lotus is about to launch the new Evora 400 and the vehicle has already created history for being the fastest Lotus sports car ever. This is not surprising as the Evora is powered by a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 engine churning 400 hp and 302 lb-ft of torque.

Lotus revealed that the figures were achieved thanks to the newly-developed water-to-air intercooler and engine management system. The British carmaker added that the Evora 400 can sprint from 0-60mph in just 4.1seconds and there is a top speed of 186mph.

When compared to the previous Evora, this new model is also 49lbs lighter. The predecessor is weaker as it only have 345hp and 29ft-lbs of torque to offer.

Despite having lost some weight, the Evora 400 gets upsized as it now measure 173inches. That is a 1.4” increase from the previous model. When the Evora 400 arrives, it will look to give the Lotus brand an uplifting it deserves and that is expected to happen in August this year.
