Kahn Design has returned to the spotlight earlier today when it revealed on the production of the upcoming Flying Huntsman 105 Defender. Like every other Kahn made vehicles, the 105 Defender is expected to be the better version of the Land Rover Defender.
Kahn Design shared that the 105 Defender will be based on the Defender 90 but in our eyes, the vehicle looks more like the child of both the Flying Huntsman 105 Longnose and the Flying Huntsman 110WB.
Among the changes from the Defender 90 includes a longer and wider wheelbase, new fenders, wheel arches, headlamps, bumpers, grille, hood, side steps and 18-inch wheels.
You can check out the concept image above for a better look at the 105 Defender and you will see what we mean when we say that the vehicle looks like an amateurish joke. For a pickup truck, the 105 Defender certainly have proportion issues. How can the hood be longer than the bed?
It is said that Kahn purposely stretched the nose of the vehicle so that the truck can fit a V8. Well, then why did Kahn choose to stick with the 2.2L diesel? For fuel economy?
We don’t know for sure but Kahn should start thinking of a new name for a new segment as the Flying Huntsman 105 Defender can’t be a pickup truck. After all, the rule of thumb for pickup trucks says that the front end should not be longer than the back.
