Just a month ago, Kia released the all-new Sorento and the vehicle is praised for its clean-cut design and splendid performance. Upon seeing the new Sorento roaming on the roads, we then noticed that its tail section shares the same styling as those from Volkswagen.
The taillight, especially, is angled in the exact same manner as the ones applied on VW vehicles. Despite that fact, Kia made some minor tweaks such as making the taillights with three separate clusters. The VW Passat in the US has two clusters but the overall shape looks identical either way.
It was very recently when we discussed on how the Kia Sorento looks akin to the Audi Q7. Perhaps, this is just a coincidence.
However, it is no secret that Kia has hired the services of ex-Audi designers but to come up with something un-original is simply sickening. Then again, we are in no position of accusing it as plagiarism.
