2015 Jeep Wrangler Review: Not Worth Its Value

Whenever a new Jeep Wrangler gets released, it will be followed by custom tuned models of the vehicle. This is no different for the latest Jeep Wrangler which is now less favourable than the newer Wrangler Unlimited Blackhawk.

The latter was launched last week and it wears a full black outfit that is inclusive of the rims and vertical grille. The blackness is also the primary colour for the interior of the Wrangler as well as engine casings.

Even so, the Wrangler Unlimited Blackhawk is still no different from the original Wrangler, apart from its colour choice. The vehicle is still a monster when on the off-road as it comes with high ground clearance and large all-terrain tyres.

Also, the Wrangler is powered by a 3.6-litre petrol V6 that generates 209kW and 347Nm of torque. This also returns a fuel consumption rate of 15.0L/100km. The pure power is pumped through aa 5-speed automatic transmission that is simply sublime. The best part is that driving the Unlimited Blackhawk feels taller than the ordinary Wranglers, which is a pleasing experience.

On the downside of things, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Blackhawk is full of flaws. Despite the rich interior, the vehicle produced so much road noise. Also, the safety features are pretty limited with the Unlimited Blackhawk.

Of course, the biggest flaw of them all is with the vehicle’s price tag. For something that is not so different from the original Wranglers, the vehicle cost a whopping $49,000.
