The SRT-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee has now been renamed to something different. This is solely because of Dodge, which has claimed the SRT name for themselves.
For Jeep, it is an opportunity to stamp a new identity for the range-topping Grand Cherokee. Jeep revealed earlier today that they have decided to replace the SRT name with Trackhawk.
One level below the Trackhawk will be the Trailhawk. Both trims will be built on the M-class platform sourced from Mercedes. The engines, on the other hand, will still be based on the Dodge.
In case you are unaware, there are two engine options for the Grand Cherokee. The first is a 6.4L V8 engine while the second is a more powerful 6.2L supercharged Hellcat V8 that has 707hp to offer.
