Jeep has already confirmed that they will be releasing the Jeep Grand Cherokee Facelift and it is going to be an improvement from the existing model. Aside from the more powerful powertrain, the Grand Cherokee is going to sport a new design that will finally appeal the general market.
Under the hood, the large SUV will be powered by a 6.4L HEMI V8 engine that is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The large engine capacity will generate a total of 160mph while also enabling it to accelerate from 0-60mph in just 4.8 seconds. Also, the Grand Cherokee will be equipped with Pirelli tyres, which enables it to tackle the bumpy off-road trails with ease.
As exciting as it sounds, there is a lot of doubts on whether the Grand Cherokee will be released in the US. After all, the vehicle is powered by a diesel mill and it requires careful analysing before Jeep can be certain on whether the market is good for the Grand Cherokee.
The large SUV will be focused on the global market instead. While the release date has yet to be specified, we can expect the Grand Cherokee Facelift to arrive in Q2.
