Jaguar has become a popular talking subject ever since the carmaker launched the all-new XE. The luxury sedan is everything that we’ve dream of it to be but there are certain elements which are downright disappointing.
For starters, the Jaguar XE’s infotainment system is still lacking practicality. Yes, the display may be responsive and fluid but the functions are somewhat limited and the interface could have been more user-friendly.
Then there is the issue with the manual transmission version of the XE. Not that there is any problem with the gearbox but the positioning of the gear stick. It can be very difficult for drivers to operate the manual lever with the huge centre console popping outwards.
Of course, we are not trying to find excuses to slate the Jaguar XE. It is just that these minor little details make a difference especially when the XE is competing with the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class.
The former have a better infotainment system and the latter offers the best interior layout ever. This is something that Jaguar needs to beat with the XE in order to call the sedan the best in the segment.
