The existing Sonata has been decent but not at all great. This is due to the downsized engine capacity and the lacklustre soft design which failed to appeal the masses. Well, car junkies are in for a massive treat as Hyundai had just teased on a super-Sonata coming to SEMA.
The special Sonata is a one-time special model that is developed by the collaboration of Hyundai and John Pangilinan. The latter is a world-renowned specialist in public relations, photography, marketing and brand development. If there is anybody that can bring a brand back to the spotlight, it is John.
Tentatively called the JP Sonata, it will come with a wide body and lip kit from LTMW. Also, there is a set of 19” wheels that is wrapped in Toyo R888 tyres. Other features include an AEM cold air intake, a MagnaFlow exhaust kit, piping from Bisimoto Engineering, Recaro front seats and a high-end audio system.
Obviously, Hyundai is going all-out at the SEMA auto show. The carmaker from South Korea had just teased on a super-powerful Hyundai Sonata, tuned by Bisimoto, coming to the event and now, it will be joined by the JP Sonata.
