In months from now, Honda will be launching the HRV Crossover Fit and it is going to be something revolutionary in terms of design. This is because of the fact that the HRV Crossover Fit is tailored to be a coupe, even though it comes with 4-doors.
Yup, you read that right. The HRV Crossover Fit actually has 4 doors to offer. Honda designed the hatchback in a way that the rear 2-doors are only visible upon close observation. The Japanese carmaker did a super fine job in hiding the door handles and door lines to make it look as if the HRV Crossover Fit has only 2-doors to offer.
Furthermore, the hatchback will come with a curved roof and a more lowered stance to complete the overall coupe look. The end product is definitely going to be stylish but it comes at the cost of comfort.
Apparently, the curved roofline caused the rear seating headroom and shoulder room to shrink by about 10%. Thankfully though, the legroom is confirmed to come with the same measurement with the original Honda Fit. This is made possible by cutting down the cargo room for the vehicle.
Unfortunately, nothing much has been revealed on the mechanical parts resting under the HRV Crossover Fit’s hood. For all we know, the hatchback will come with CVT transmission. Also, car junkies can also opt for the 6-speed manual transmission.
In addition to that, the HRV Crossover Fit is confirmed to weigh at only 2600lbs. Honda will be selling the basic model at $16,000 while the top of the range model will retail at $21,000.
