2015 Honda HR-V vs Jeep Renegade: Which Is More Practical?

The answer to that question is the latest Honda HR-V and here’s why. Despite running on a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine while being mated to a CVT transmission, the HR-V offers a satisfactory performance and the best fuel economy within the compact SUV segment.

In other words, it will not cost drivers much to drive the HR-V on a daily basis. On top of that, the HR-V is also spacious, comfortable and stylish at the same time. Thus, this makes it more desirable than the Jeep Renegade.

Of course, this is not to say that the latter is a bad vehicle choice. The Renegade too offers a nice performance from its 1.4L turbocharged engine that is mated to an automatic transmission. The SUV is also more beautiful than the Honda HR-V.

On the downside of things, the Renegade is not built to be a fuel saver so it does not make a nice general and practical vehicle.

Then again, the Jeep Renegade comes with 4WD mode and when it is engaged, the compact SUV gets the ability to drive on the sandy dunes, muddy trails, streams and even climb mountains. This is an added perk with the Renegade but it is only targeted to the off-roading enthusiasts.
