Last year, Honda stole the headlines through launching the HR-V and so did Jeep with the all-new Renegade. In many ways, both vehicles are similar to each other but today, we are going to share the major difference between the two.
Looking at the Honda HR-V, the vehicle is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that is paired to a CVT transmission. It is pretty obvious that the HR-V is developed to be a great vehicle for everyday general use. This is because the powertrain is made to be a fuel saver and on the plus side of things, the HR-V is very affordable to own.
The Jeep Renegade, on the other hand, is not very economical. However, the 1.4L turbocharged engine and 6-speed automatics it runs on is paired to the 4WD system. When engaged, the Renegade turns into a beast as it offers so much power to tackle the unforgiving off-road terrain.
Despite their major differences, both the Renegade and the HR-V are really great compact SUVs to own. As long as you understand their purpose, you can never go wrong from choosing either vehicle.
