The Honda HR-V and the Jeep Renegade are two of the latest compact SUVs in the market at the moment. Despite coming from the same segment, both vehicles are nowhere near similar to each other.
The HR-V, in particular, is powered by a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that is mated to a CVT transmission. This develops 170hp and 106ft-lbs of torque that is also fuel economical as well. The HR-V is also able to offer consumers a thoroughly comfortable drive as it comes completed with tons of features.
The list includes air filtration, front air conditioning, audio controls on the steering wheel along with cruise control, phone control and steering wheel adjustments. In short, the HR-V offers a cheap running cost and is perfect for general use.
As for the Jeep Renegade, the vehicle is powered by a 1.4L turbocharged engine that is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Renegade is nothing like the HR-V as it is not built to be a fuel saver. It is also not a massive performer when on the tar mat.
Instead, the Renegade is made to be the world’s most powerful off-road compact SUV in history. Together with Jeep’s off-road technology, the Renegade is able to climb mountains, cross rivers and also surf on sand dunes with ease.
With that being said, things are now simpler for consumers to decide between the Renegade and the HR-V. The former will make a fine vehicle if you are into off-roading while the latter is the best choice for general use.
