Both the latest Honda HR-V and Jeep Renegade are thought to be two very similar compact SUVs but they are not. The Honda HR-V and the Renegade actually have to completely different purpose and they are as follow.
The HR-V, in particular, is built to offer consumers a cheap, reliable, practical and fuel savvy compact SUV that is fitting for every day, general use. This is evident if one is to check out the price tag of the HR-V before learning that the vehicle runs on a 1.5L 4-cylinder engine that is mated to a CVT gearbox.
The Jeep Renegade, on the other hand, suffers from poor fuel economy rating. The 1.4L turbocharged unit resting under the hood and the 6-speed automatic transmission is simply useless in terms of keeping running cost low.
However, the Jeep Renegade can take pride in its 4WD system that when engaged, will allow the compact SUV to turn into a beast. Heck, it seems that the Renegade is the only compact SUV that is capable of sprinting on muddy trails and climbing mountains. This should appeal to the off-road lovers.
