Every car enthusiasts should know that there are two types of Honda Civic. One is the famous European model which is built to be a hatchback while the other is the Civic Sedan which is a common sighting in the US and elsewhere in the world.
Well, the hatchback Civic variant is going to drop that European exclusivity after new rumours surfaced to indicate that the model will be coming to the US.
The word is that the Civic hatchback will give Honda an extra edge as it allows the company to compete with the Volkswagen Golf here in the US. However, the rumours claim that competition is not the main reason to why Honda is plotting for the Civic hatchback to come to the US.
Instead, it is actually because the demands for the Civic hatchback are dropping rapidly in Europe and there is an over-supply of the vehicle. To make sure that the loss doesn’t turn suicidal for Honda, the Japanese automotive firm is attempting to salvage as much as they can by bringing the Civic hatchback to the US.
The Honda Civic European model is developed in England and it is expected to make a handsome entry in the North American market. Of course, it is still too early to tell and the above is also pending for official confirmation by Honda.
