Back when Ford unveiled the 2015 Mustang last year, the carmaker teased that the car will come with a feature that will offer the ultimate racing thrill. Today, we managed to uncover what Ford was referring to.
It appears that the 2015 Mustang is equipped with an electronic line-lock that holds the front brakes while releasing the rears, allowing drivers to perform the perfect burnout every try. The sporty function is added to allow racers to warm up their tyres prior to a race.
Furthermore, the front braking tool is paired to an electronic launch control system that will surely allow racers to hit the clock the predicted time on a quarter-mile run.
On the downside of things, the line-lock controls is operated on the Mustang’s infotainment system, thus, rubbishing the rumours which kept on linking a mysterious feature that is toggled by a big red button.
Aside from aiding the racers on a race track, the feature on the 2015 Mustang will also allow drivers to leave other vehicles biting the dust whenever the traffic light turns green. Unfortunately, doing so will void the vehicle’s warranty as warned by Ford.
