The new 2015 F-150 is a one tough truck. While the box and cab is made from aluminium, the frame on the other hand is made from high-strength steel for its durability. However, the F-150 pickups are also being recalled by Ford because of the radar sensor problem. Over 33, 481 trucks are equipped with adaptive cruise control, and when there is nothing in the lane ahead, the sensors will flash collision warnings or slow down the vehicle.
Big trucks like the polished metal on large tractor trailers can trip the sensors. To overcome the problem, dealers will update the software to avoid any crash or injuries. Aside from the problem, the 2.7 EcoBoost’s EPA fuel-economy is not really satisfying in the real world. The performance of F-150 is great, but despite being quick off the line, it does not feel or sound like truck engines. For the cost of this F-150, one could get a Chevy or Ram with the price with a similarly equipped V-8.
