The next-generation Ford F-150 is confirmed to be making its debut early this year and consumers can already head to its online configurator and tailor make the pickup truck to fit their needs. However, if consumers are to take the best specs around, then the F-150 will come with a price of more than $50,000.
We are pretty sure that nobody wants to spend that much money on a pickup truck. After all, $50K can land you a luxurious vehicle. As such, we have decided to build our own F-150 via the online generator as we bid to find the perfect combination of features while keeping the price under the budget.
The result is a Ford F-150 XL Regular Cab 2WD 5L V8 which retails at $28,210. This is about two grand more than the base price of $26,615. Of course, our rig is built as 2-door 3-passernger vehicle that looks stylish in Race Red paint.
Under the hood, we replaced the 3.5L EcoBoost V6 engine with the 5L Coyote V8. Of course, the latter has 33ft-lbs less torque than the former but it is a sacrifice we have to make to get 20 extra horsepower.
Other features that we applied to the Ford F-150 includes the $470 electronic-locking rear differential, the $495 Trailer Tow package, a Class IV hitch, an auxiliary transmission-oil cooler, and an “upgraded” front anti-roll bar.
Of course, our brand of F-150 is pretty basic with all our focus spent on boosting the performance. The result is an entirely reliable, powerful and fuel efficient Ford F-150.
