This year’s SEMA auto show played host to many interesting concepts that are tuned for power. Despite that fact, it is the upcoming Chevrolet COPO Camaro that captured the most attention.
Chevrolet confirmed that the COPO Camaro concept will be entering production and is due for a release next year. However, the COPO Camaro will be very limited in numbers as Chevy confirms that only 69 units will be produced.
This left us wondering on why 69? Of all the numbers Chevy could think off, they specifically picked 69. There is no significance from the number on the COPO Camaro. The only thing we can relate with 69 is one of the sexual positions for foreplay.
Regardless of the reason, the COPO Camaro will be the fourth-generation model when it arrives. The car will be powered by a 5.7-liter LSX V8 with a 2.9L Whipple supercharged engine. On the other hand, consumers can also choose from 350, 396 and 427 naturally aspirated engines with two 327 supercharged units that offers 4L and 2.9L superchargers respectively.
It is obvious that the COPO Camaro is going to be a super powerful car. Chevrolet has stated that the vehicle will be eligible for NHRA Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes.
