Last week, Motor Trend hosted its annual award show which rewards vehicles based on their segment and offerings. The pickup truck segment, in particular, caught the most attention as nobody can predict the winner.
Of course, the contest is actually between the Chevrolet Colorado and the Ford F-150 instead of being the two, competing together with the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel and the Chevy Silverado 1500. Both the Ford F-150 ad Chevrolet Colorado are simply too popular that car junkies were at the edge of their seats as they wait for Motor Trend to announce the winner.
“And the award goes to…. The Chevrolet Coloroado!” That was the words uttered by the host and it is not a surprising result at all. The Chevrolet Colorado is just too popular among the crowd and it seems that everybody here in the US is appealed to its design.
The Colorado bagged the best truck for the year 2015 award and it left the Ford fanboys in unease. To be fair, the Ford F-150 is supposed to be the better truck than the Colorado. However, it comes with an aluminium structure which is still unproven to be road-worthy when compared to other vehicles in the same segment.
The Colorado, on the other hand, is spot on with each and every feature that comes with it. Aside from the truck’s beauty, the Colorado also enjoys great fuel economy and a well-balanced power output.
