BMW swoop the headlines earlier today when it revealed more on the next-gen X5 which is due to get launched this November. Packed together with the M-badge, the upcoming X5 is going to come with a dreamy powertrain and a highly spectacular design.
Like how it is pictured above, the X5 “M” is powered by a 4.4L twin-turbo V8 engine which produces a whopping 553 lb-ft of torque and more than 500hp to offer. In figures, the X5 is able to complete a sprint to 62mph from standstill in 4 short seconds flat.
The great power output is accomplished thanks to dragging the weight of the X5 down to only 5,015lbs. To complete the package, BMW M-division mated an 8-speed M-Steptronic automatic transmission to the powerful motor.
At the moment, we are satisfied with how the future X5 will be made to appear like and how powerful it is. Now, we are hoping for the X5 to come with the roars of a 500hp beast and this is something BMW has yet to excel at.
