It is no longer a secret that Audi is currently developing a hybrid model that will join the Q7 ranks. Now, the world can already set their eyes on the vehicle after spy shots of it were shared on the internet.
The images show the Audi Q7 e-Tron doing some examinations and like most spied vehicles, the test mule was coated under thick camouflage. When taking a closer look, one can notice the “fuel” cap at both sides of the vehicle. It is believed that one is for petrol while the other is for electricity.
Unfortunately, there is still no word on the sort of engine that is resting under the hood. However, since Audi is part of the Volkswagen Group, we could see it adopting the 3.0-liter supercharged V6 gasoline engine connected to an electric motor producing up to 100hp taken from the Porsche Cayenne. On the other hand, there is a possibility of a diesel mill to run the show.
The Audi Q7 e-Tron participated in the recent Paris Motor Show but no details were shared. Perhaps, the German carmaker is checking out the public’s reaction. Regardless, we can expect to learn more about it in the upcoming LA Auto Show.
