Last month, Acura launched the all-new TLX as part of their 2015 line-up. The car is undoubtedly a great vehicle to own if you are seeking for a sedan that can get you indulged into the world of luxuries.
Everything about the TLX is great. The sedan brags on a clean-cut look, premium interior and an overall minimalistic design. Under the hood, the TLX is powered by a powerful V6 engine that delivers 290hp straight to the FWD system. So what could be the flaw with the Acura TLX?
Well, the answer is the transmission. The TLX is currently being offered with a 9-speed automatics and it is simply not good enough to translate the power of a V6 mill. One might wonder on how Acura could have been so blind about it when producing the TLX. Obviously, equipping the car with an 8 –speed dual clutch automatic transmission with SH-AWD system is the best option.
Perhaps, this is why Acura is doing so poorly in the automotive market. The luxury arm of Honda simply couldn’t find the right combination to produce their vehicles and this includes the TLX.
