The Acura TLX is the latest luxury sedan in the market but it has failed to lift up the brand’s receding name. Despite the heavy anticipation shown prior to the TLX release, the hype was lost in translation when it comes to sales.
It is understood that this is because of the lack of trim levels for the Acura TLX. The Japanese luxury carmaker offers the saloon with a clean-cut design and a powerful V6 engine that is paired to a regular 9-speed automatic transmission.
On the other hand, fans are hoping for the TLX to offer more like the SH-AWD system and an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission. Unfortunately, Japanese carmaker tends to avoid dual-clutch gearbox as it is unfavourable in their local market.
Personal preferences aside, having the TLX being offered with more varieties will make it more appealing to the masses. This is such a waste as the standard TLX is really appealing and powerful all on its own but it could have been better if the TLX has more varieties to offer.
