Over the past couple of years, Nissan has been constantly updating the GT-R with some minor improvements here and there. It is the same story again this year when the latest GT-R received some improved parts and nothing more.
Some might catch the hint that Nissan is performing a live test for a next-gen model. For those who didn’t, they are considered as Nissan’s lab rats. Unfortunately for us, we belong in the latter after giving the latest GT-R a test run.
The super car is powered by a 3.8L V-6 engine that generates 542bhp and 465ft-lbs of torque. The GT-R drives on the 4WD system and is able to complete a 0-62mph sprint in just 2.7 seconds. Furthermore, there is a top speed of 196mph.
So what are the changes? Well, we learned that the engine has been tweaked to perform better in mid and upper rev ranges. Also, the suspension has drastically improved as the car now feels more stable than before.
Then again, these are the only changes to the great vehicle from Nissan. On the plus side, it also helps drivers control the GT-R when driving in the city. In an even where the GT-R gets caught in a jam, drivers don’t have to fear about the GT-R, jumping with the slightest touch of the gas pedal.
All in all, the latest Nissan GT-R is certainly a level above its predecessors. The changes might be minimal but it is worth every cents.
