Earlier this year, Mazda launched the all-new Mazda 3 and it is considered as one of the best compact sedans in history. This is due to the fact that the car drives on the SkyActiv engine, which offers the perfect balance between power and fuel consumption.
On the downside of things, sales of the Mazda 3 have been pretty slow if we look at the hype it produced prior to its debut. This is due to the high price tag that comes with the Mazda 3 that scares away consumers. It gets worse when many reviewers stressed on getting the car with the Technology Package.
The latter basically adds in some extra features for an extra fee. The list includes IELOOP, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning system and many more. While it all sounds great, do take our advice and stay away from it. This is because all the additions are counted as new-techs and like every technology, they age very fast.
Here is a simple example. 5 years ago, there was a great craze on GPS installed in the car. Carmakers were charging a lot for the feature to be installed in the vehicle. Today, however, the GPS system on the car is nowhere near as good as Google Maps on the smartphones. In another 5 years from now, the feature will be obsolete and unnecessary for a car. It gets sucky when you have to look at it whenever you step inside your vehicle.
The most important factor is the engine and the car parts that worked with it. As long as the Mazda 3 keeps its core functions intact, there shouldn’t be a problem for the driver at all.
