It was just days ago when the latest Ford Fusion became a victim of a grand recall and now they are forced to return to the service centres again. This is because the Fusion is suffering from a well-known Ford issue and that is broken doors.
Prior to the recall, some drivers are complaining that the doors on the Ford Fusion can’t close. Whenever the owners attempted to close a door on the car, it bounces back outwards to hit back at them.
Of course, the worst bit is with the doors opening on its own. One owner saw his Fusion door being latched open independently while he was driving. The doors were damaged badly after hitting on other cars.
Since it is becoming a growing concern among all Fusion owners, Ford has taken the initiative to launch a recall and claims the issue to be with the spring installed underneath the door latch. The recall affected more than a hundred thousand Fusions that were manufactured between 2013 and 2014.
Ford have already contacted the Fusion owners on the recall and confirmed that the repair will be free of charge. Ford is also hoping for the recall to fix the issue entirely as dragging the problem will only tarnish their image.
