The Ford Fiesta ST from last year came out to be the complete package in automotive history. It comes with a superb design, powerful engine and is also developed to be a massive fuel saver as well.
Of course, the Fiesta ST is not entirely cheap to own and this explains why there has been a lot of consumers picking up a used model last month. Unfortunately, the new Fiesta ST owners discovered that their vehicle’s MPG counter does not go beyond 26mpg. This is despite of the fact that the driver is cruising at 55mph on the highway.
Well, the actual issue is not with the driver but with the Fiesta ST MPG counter. Drivers who are experiencing this issue with their hatch can simply press on the button they use to reset the trip odometer to reset the Average MPG counter.
Upon doing so, drivers will notice the actual MPG of the Fiesta ST. When facing the daily 30-mile commute conditions, drivers will get a new average of 30-31mpg.
With that being said, Fiesta ST owners should not worry much about the misleading MPG counter as they are actually enjoying great gas mileage that is not reflected appropriately. This is a common incident when the Fiesta ST gets shut down for a lengthy period of time.
