There is a growing problem with the latest Ford Fiesta ST and it involves the fuel efficiency of the car. Many owners of the Fiesta ST are reporting that they can no longer achieve more than 26mpg when driving on the car. The strange thing is that the owners don’t feel a change in their fuelling patterns.
After performing an investigation on the matter, we discovered that the issue is actually with the MPG counter on the Fiesta ST. Apparently, the counter is no longer displaying precise fuel consumption reading.
There is a very simple fix for this and it does not require owners to suffer the long queue at Ford’s service centres. All they have to do is simply give the mileage button a single click and it will reset the counter.
Once that is done, owners will notice that the counter will be able to read a more precise fuel consumption rate. In other words, owners can now achieve more than 30mpg on an average drive.
