If you are an owner of the 2011 Chevrolet Malibu, it is about time you start selling your vehicle. GMC had just launched a new recall for the Malibu produced from 2011-2012 and this is due to an issue with the flexible steel cable that connects the safety belt to the vehicle.
In a statement released by GM, the steel cable can separate over time hence it puts drivers and passengers at risk of a fatal accident. To make things worse, the issue has already caused injuries to 36 Malibu owners.
The unfortunate thing is that this is not the first time the 2011 Malibu got tangled up in a recall. It seems that there is always a new life-threatening issue with the car and this is why you should sell it fast.
Of course, owners are advised to only sell the vehicle after they have completed the recall request. Sending the Malibu to the nearest service centre will see the parts being replaced for free.
It is also worth mentioning that GM in a number of cases refused to guarantee repairs to the 2011 Chevrolet Silverado when the owners used poor quality spark plugs.
