Over the past few days, we have been coming across numerous complaints from Android users with regards to the BBM app that recently hit the Play Store after weeks of retractions.
While the Android app is already here, it isn’t without controversy. We’ve been receiving complaints of the app force closing on many new Android smartphones, behaving oddly and even responsible for some major battery drains. So then why does the app have such a flawless 5-star rating?
The folks over at Phandroid are stating that this may in fact be paid for ratings and that up to 40 percent of the 5-star ratings for the BBM app for Android on the Google Play Store are in fact fake.
Now that’a a pretty wild accusation but it looks like they have done their research. Check out their full report here.
