A new concept phone has come to light from designers Ran Avni and Mustafa Dagdelen. What makes the iPhone concept stand out is that it isn’t called a phone but rather the iPhone Pro, which would take it into the phablet category thanks to the 4.9 inch HD display and 0.5mm thickness.
The concept shows a power button situated to the right hand side of the device, with a body of aluminium which has measurements of just 6.8mm thickness. The designers of the concept handset have still put Touch ID into the handset, whose creation came about following rumours that Apple could be about to venture into the phablet market in May. This was said to be a different product to the iPhone, which would arrive with the iPhone 6 in September.
The concept iPhone phablet would have a 20 nanometer processor from TSMC, which would mean the iPhone Pro would have to be wider than the regular iPhone. There has been a rumour that the iPad 12 inch may have the name of the iPad Pro, but will Apple take the iPhone down the same path?
