We could see the release of the Apple iPhone 6 in August and rumour has it that it could have intelligent batteries that would last a lot longer than the usual battery found in the iPhone.
Many users have become upset and frustrated to find that their battery has run down just as they are in the middle of doing something important.
It seems that Apple could have been listening to people complain about how the battery underperforms and decided to do something about it. They could be about to introduce intelligent batteries that would conserve power and this would be based on the usage habits of the user.
Apple recently filed two patent applications for new technology with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. This was for new tech “inferring user intent from battery usage level and charging trends” and “predicting user intent and future interaction from application activities.”
The first of the patents followed the Apple iPhone would be used and adjusted the battery accordingly. If the iPhone wasn’t used all that much then the cellular performance could be lowered to retain processing power. Should the handset be used in a dark place then it would lower the brightness itself.
Apple took out a second patent to predict how the owner interacts with the phone over a period of time. The handset would be able to keep track of apps that were frequently used and the handset would keep power for whenever the owners was using such an app.
At the moment Apple haven’t released anything about the features and specs of the Apple iPhone 6. However it has been said that they will be branching out into the phablet category. There has been speculation of Apple launching two variants of the Apple iPhone 7. Both are said to be arriving with larger displays. It is said that they will have the A8 processor along with iOS 8. The TouchID fingerprint tech should also be improved upon.
The release date for the iPhone 7 is thought to be in June when Apple holds the WWDC. Rumour has it that Apple will also announce iOS 8 at the conference. However there has also been speculation that the iPhone 6 could be delayed due to the fact that Apple has released another version of the iPhone 5C. This may mean we won’t see the iPhone 6 until September or possibly October.
