Apple have launched the latest iOS update, iOS 7.1 Beta 4, and it seems that after installing the update owners of the iPhone and iPads have had issues and have been reporting that after the update the jailbreak is lost. So anyone who have jailbroken their idevice may wish to stay clear of the recent Apple update for now.
It was said over on Reddit that one person had updated to the latest version of iOS 7.1 beta 4 and everything went well until the final restart. At this point the Apple iPhone 5S was stuck in a permanent boot loop and none of the tricks or tips helped. It was also said that the jailbroken Apple iPad Air gets stuck in the bootloop too.
Owners have said that the OTA update from beta 2 to beta 3 had caused the jailbreak not to work and that person said they thought the same applied when making the update to beta 4. They suggested making a fresh install of beta 3 first and then going ahead and updating to beta 4.
Another user pointed out that they had a jailbroken iPhone 5S which was running iOS 7.1b3 and they didn’t do the clean installation and updated using iTunes and the jailbreak worked for them.
So it seems that for the moment Evasi0n jailbreak doesn’t work with the latest Apple iOS 7.1 beta 4 update and the question is whether Apple have patched the vulnerabilities.
