2013 has come to a close and we have seen how each and every smartphone performed in the market. Over at Apple, it appears to be a case of two ends. Both the iPhone 5S and 5C got released simultaneously and ended up at two different ends in terms of sales performance.
The iPhone 5C in particular came out all colourful and dazzling. Despite it being dubbed as the cheapest iPhone, it is most certainly not affordable. Apple needs to revise the price factor of the device if it intends to release a sequel iPhone 5C this year.
Tim Cook acknowledges this loss and calls the iPhone 5C to lack a pulling factor. The iPhone 5S got itself the fingerprint scanner and the 5C have nothing new to offer other than brighter colours.
At the moment, the future for the iPhone 5C is a mystery and consumers are wondering if Apple would scrap the whole line of smartphones or will the company look to rebuild it from scratch.
