We might be way past the release of both iPhone 5S and 5C. Thinking back to these beautiful devices from 2013, how much difference is there between the two devices?
Of course, the processor on the 5S is faster to that of 5C. The 64-bit 1GHz A7 is much updated to the old 32-bit A6 processor. There is also that fingerprint scanner on the 5S which opens the door to many new possibilities. This feature is absent on the 5C.
The cameras on both iPhones are similar in every way. It is 8MP that is capable of capturing videos at 1080p. The only difference is that the iPhone 5S has that dual flash feature which again, is absent on the 5C. This allows the 5S to record videos at 120FPS on 720p.
The good thing about the 5C is its colourful features. The iPhones has been so premium since it first debut and the 5C is the first version to add colours in life.
Storage-wise, the 5S has a 64GB variant whereas the 5C is limited to 32GB. The difference in price between the two devices is $100 and with every increase in storage space, the price jumps up by another $100. In other words, the 5C 16GB is only $99 compared to the 5S $199 for the same space.
Obviously, the iPhone 5S is the better of the two. Considering all the missing features in the iPhone 5C, the price for this low-end smartphone doesn’t fit its huge bill. The difference is clearly huge and there is no harm to adding another $100 to get a good iPhone 5S.
