iPhone 4S and iPhone 5 owners are finding that their battery life is slashed since the iOS 7.0.3 update. The iPhone 4S is the worst, with only a few iPhone 5 owners reporting problems.
The battery problem arises after the 7.0.3 update, but it’s not related to the hardware, as the phones were doing OK on iOS 6. Also, not all phones are affected – it looks random, but it’s related to the conditions under which the update was made.
Some owners reckon the best thing to do is to take the iPhone to the nearest Apple centre, but not everyone will be able to do this.
If you backed up iOS 6 in iTunes, you can revert back to it and make a clean installation of iOS 7. When you re-install it, get rid of any apps you don’t use, and make sure the ones you do use are updated so they work efficiently.
Have you been affected after going up to iOS 7.0.3? Are you doing anything about it? What did you try?
