Apple launched iOS 7.1 not too long ago and fans have wondered how long they might have to wait for the launch of the jailbreak for it.
The Evasi0n iOS 7 jailbreak for the iPhone, iPad and iPod did take many people by surprise as they thought they would have to wait for much longer. However it arrived just three days before the Christmas holidays and caused nothing but drama upon its arrival. When it arrived there were problems with the update for Cydia but this has settled down now.
Now that iOS 7.1 has launched people want to know if the team are working on the jailbreak for it or if they are concentrating on iOS 8, when that arrives.
Pod2g talked about this and said “For iOS 7.1, I don’t know … there is a big chance the evad3rs won’t focus on it as a team … expect that for iOS 8 :)”
However, he went on to say,
“If one day, I find myself bored and can put enough time and energy into it, I have some ideas for how to make a 7.1 jailbreak … depending on how it has been fixed and other external events.”
So maybe owners of the iPhone will have to wait until Apple launched iOS 8 before they see another jailbreak. So for the time being you may wish to be cautious about updating your handset.
