When the last Apple iOS 7.1 update came out it patched the Evasi0n jailbreak, which meant that people couldn’t jailbreak their device. Since then we have heard rumours about iOS 7.1 jailbreak being released and it working with the iPhone and the iPad.
GottaBeMobile said that you could get the jailbreak from a website called 7jailbreak.com, who were offering the remote jailbreak for iOS 7.1 and was said to work with the Apple iphone 5S. the website says that users can jailbreak any iPhone which has iOS 7.1 installed and all they have to do is click a link, they don’t have to have their device connected to the computer.
7jailbreak.com even went as far as using the name of Joshua Hill; he is P0sixninja who has worked on jailbreaks in the past. However Hill said that he doesn’t have anything to do with the website or the jailbreak. He said that claims of it are lies.
When owners of idevices click on the link for the remote jailbreak all they see is a pop-up which takes them to a page where they are able to download an app. The app is in the App Store and when you download it through the link it makes money for the owner of the website.
Hacker Pod2g said that at the moment the team of hackers are not working on the jailbreak. He said “For iOS 7.1, I don’t know … there is a big chance the evad3rs won’t focus on it as a team … expect that for iOS 8.”
He went on to say that if he should become bored and have some time on his hands he did have some ideas as to how the jailbreak for iOS 7.1 could work.
He didn’t confirm or deny that there would be a jailbreak for iOS 7.1, just that he hasn’t worked on one and is not behind the one at the website.
