Despite being the successor to the Sony Xperia Z, the Z2 is confirmed by Sony that it will not be distributed in the US. Instead, it will be launch in UAE on 17 April.
This is after the Japanese tech-giant is taking a whole new approach to sell its phones. With so many high profile brands out there, Sony will look to monopolize on markets where they are strong. On top of that, the company is looking to release a high-end product every six months.
It seems that Sony is using Blackberry’s tactics while tailing behind market dominators, Apple and Samsung.
The company’s Director Business Management, Izzat Kittaneh, confirms that Sony will not be practicing an annual release like how it was with its competitors. Whenever an innovative product has materialized, Sony will release them to the market immediately.
The Xperia Z2 is a great example of a powerful smartphone that is underrated. It has a whopping 20.7MP which is the largest the wold has ever seen and features noise cancelling and 4K video recording.
Sony has been in the game for so long now and the company is definitely capable of creating better devices than their Samsung counterparts. The Xperia Z2 is living up to that dream and will look to arrive with a price tag of AU$899.95 in Australia.
