Samsung will be hoping that when the Samsung Galaxy S5 is introduced it will boost their sales thanks to the new features it will offer. The Vice President of Samsung was talking to Bloomberg recently at the CES and said that Samsung had been revealing their handsets in the first half of the year, March or April and that the company was still targeting the same time, but failed to announce a specific release date. We had heard a rumour previously that the launch of the handset could be February but it now seems it could be two months later in April.
At the same time he didn’t announce the Samsung Galaxy S5 specifically, just saying that a new phone would arrive in the spring.
Rumours have been going around about the handset arriving with an iris scanner, this came after Apple launched the iPhone 5S with the fingerprint scanner.
It was also said that Samsung Galaxy S5 would arrive alongside a newer version of the smartwatch, the Samsung Galaxy Gear and they would bring more powerful features.
