The Samsung Galaxy S5 is about to be unveiled tomorrow and many rumours have been suggesting this next Galaxy S device to boast a bendable display. However, such technology is still needs more development before it can be commercialized.
The Mobile World Congress is tomorrow. All the spotlights might be on the Galaxy S5 but in the shadows, a prototype of the Galaxy Note Slate is about to make its first appearance as well.
This future tablet will feature a bendable screen that can be folded up to 90 degrees. With such a feature, the Galaxy Note Slate is expected to have two modes. They are the laptop mode and the tablet mode. Of course, bending the device will turn it into a laptop mode.
The bendable technology has been much rumoured for some time. Even LG Flex and the Apple iPhone 6 are already looking to feature this technology.
Samsung will be looking to join this trend as evidence of the phone vendor patenting slate featuring flexible and foldable display got leaked into the internet.
All in all, it is a wonderful time ahead in the gadget industry. We’ve had LTE, 4K displays and such. Now, the world will be looking forward to bend.
