Rooting an Android device is a whole lot easier now with CF-Auto-Root. The latest Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 on Android 4.4 Kitkat can now be rooted with this application. More importantly. The rooting supports all three variants of the tab.
Whether you are using the Wi-Fi only, 3G or LTE Galaxy Note Pro, you can root your device and here is how.
First some requirements have to be met. They are:
1. USB Driver installed on the computer.
2. USB Debugging enabled. Settings>Developer Options>Enable USB Debugging.
3. A backup of your device created.
4. A minimum of 80% battery life.
5. User has to be prepared to lose warranty.
6. Make sure your device is the SM-P900, SM-P901 or SM-P905. If not, do not proceed or risk bricking your device.
Flashing Instructions.
1. Download and extract the CF-AutoRoot.zip to get that .tar.md5 file.
2. Extract the Odin zip to get that Odin3 v3.09.exe with other files.
3. Turn your device off.
4. Press the volume down, home and power button simultaneously until prompted on screen. Press volume up to proceed.
5. Launch Odin on the PC as administrator.
6. Connect your tab to the PC and wait until Odin prompts you.
7. Click on the AP button and choose the .tar.md5 file.
8. The re-partition check box must be unchecked.
9. Click on start and it should commence the process.
10. Upon completion, the tablet will restart and a pass message on green background will populate your PC’s screen. Unplug your tab and enjoy the root.
