Google launched Kitkat 4.4 and sparked a race with phone makers trying to get the update onto their handsets first.
Motorola and HTC came out ahead when they announced plans for the rollout, leaving Samsung behind who remained quiet on the matter.
Samsung have many devices to push the update out to as KitKat 4.4 has support for smaller memory. iTech Addict said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini should receive the update at the beginning of January. The blog said that the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and Samsung Galaxy S3 should follow on in April.
Samsung haven’t confirmed this and there is no news about the update being available on all carriers at the same time. Samsung stopped the update at AT&T for the Samsung Galaxy S4 for a while as they rectified some issues.
Fans of Samsung have also complained about TouchWiz. They said that the UI weighs down the devices.
