We have heard details about the release of KitKat 4.4 for the Samsung Galaxy S3 international version, along with the update for the Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos, in a document that has leaked.
SamMobile said that an insider at Samsung had shown them a document which revealed the update schedule for the KitKat 4.4 update for the Samsung handsets.
A screenshot was posted online of the document and this said that KitKat would come to the Samsung Galaxy handsets in April to May. Therefore it does look as though the update will come out shortly after we see the Samsung Galaxy S5 on the shelves.
We have no idea as to whether the documents that leaked are the real deal. They may be a hoax from someone trying to exploit the need for the update.
It does make you wonder as on the leaked documents the model number for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is wrong. It is listed as being SM-N7100 when it should be GT-N7100.
For the time being we don’t know if this is a genuine mistake or a fake.
