The Samsung Galaxy S5 is not far off being launched but it seems that KitKat 4.4 for the Samsung Galaxy S3 is still coming out.
It is thought that the Samsung Galaxy S3 could join the Samsung Galaxy S4 and will run KitKat 4.4 if a leaked roadmap is to be believed.
While the update is said to be in the works, at the moment there is no timeframe as to the arrived of the KitKat 4.4 update for the Samsung Galaxy S3. The leaked roadmap does suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S3 will join devices such as the Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom in having KitKat 4.4.
Other handsets belonging to Samsung to be getting the update include the Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Mega.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 tablets will also be receiving the KitKat 4.4 update it has been said.
Owners of the Samsung Galaxy S4 along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have started to receive the update recently, so we expect the update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be some time away yet.
