The Samsung Galaxy S5 is looking to debut very soon and it will run on the latest Android 4.4 KitKat. Not long after this happens, the KitKat will look to arrive on the old Samsung Galaxy S3. Samsung has already promised this to happen but the roll out date is still unknown.
Nevertheless, users can expect to receive together with the Galaxy S3 Mini and Galaxy S4 Zoom. Other Samsung device like the Galaxy S4 Active, Galaxy note 2 and Galaxy mega are also looking to get their hands on the update.
As for the tablet market, the Galaxy Note 8 and the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 is in the plans for the KitKat update.
Of course, the latest smartphones from Samsung will be first on the list of devices to be updated. As such, expect the KitKat to arrive on both the Note 3 and S4. The Galaxy S3 is obviously among the last in the pecking order. Fans can only hope for Samsung to deliver their promise and not forget about them.
